Project description : Flagship store for fashion brand Miu Miu in the Aoyama district of Tokyo. The two-story opaque structure includes a steel facade that angles out from the glass glazing “as if the volume had been sliced open with a big knife”.
Work : Design Studies - Prototyping - Delivery of fabrication documents.
Working as workshop architect - tasks consisted in design / edition of shop drawings of the furniture/fixtures : Tables - Chairs - Displays; as well as prototyping / setting fabrication processes before submission to the consultants and contractors in Japan. Work also included material studies and detailing of the flooring and wall details / material finishes.
